Python Automation Tester

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Python Automation Tester with 6-10 years of experience in software testing, test automation, and quality engineering. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, developing automated test suites, improving CI/CD quality processes, and leading QA initiatives across enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python • Develop automated test scripts for Web, API, Database, and Backend applications • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product owners, and QA teams to ensure product quality • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution • Mentor junior QA engineers and review automation code • Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and reporting mechanisms • Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and test strategy discussions • Ensure quality standards, best practices, and automation governance are followed Requirements • Strong programming expertise in Python • Experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, unittest, Behave • UI automation using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright • API testing using Requests, Postman • Database testing with SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL • Experience with Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps • Version control tools: Git, Bitbucket • Test management tools: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr • Cloud & DevOps exposure: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes • Performance testing knowledge using JMeter or Locust • 7-10 years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation • Minimum 4-8 years of hands-on Python automation experience • Experience leading QA automation teams/projects • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
