Python API Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a backend engineer to design and build scalable Python APIs on AWS for a leading athleisure retail domain. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs in Python • Build scalable, secure services on AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch) • Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and observability • Collaborate with product, frontend and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end • Troubleshoot performance and production issues; drive optimizations and best practices Requirements • 6–10 years backend development experience with Python (Flask/FastAPI/Django) • Strong API design and microservices experience • Hands-on AWS experience (serverless & container patterns) • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/CodePipeline) and infra-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation) • Solid knowledge of databases, caching, messaging (Postgres/Redis/Kafka or similar) • Good debugging, performance tuning and testing skills • Excellent communication and ability to work in hybrid onsite/offsite model (Bangalore)
