Lead Backend Python Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a Lead Backend Python Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our engineering team. This role focuses on building high-performance, scalable backend systems and designing robust APIs using Python and FastAPI. Key Responsibilities • Lead backend development efforts, focusing on designing scalable architectures • Build and scale RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI • Apply layered architecture principles across application, business, and data layers • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments • Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, regression, performance) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on time Requirements • 10+ years of experience building distributed, high-volume applications • Strong expertise in Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks) • Advanced experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design • Strong SQL skills, data modeling, and query optimization • Hands-on experience with Git and version control • Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development • Solid understanding of OOP principles and SOLID design practices • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the full SDLC • Strong communication and collaboration skills
